Does anybody out there have some ideas about doing volunteer work in New Orleans?
I'm hoping that next spring for Cody's spring break (which is different dates then his brothers) he and I will go do some volunteer work in New Orleans.
I have been looking at some ideas, but would love to hear others.
What an admirable idea! You have probably heard about Habitat for Humanity, Brad Pitt's actions, and there's the Sisters of the Blessed Sacramnt (who worked so closely with the poor in the 9th Ward) -

Mom, Habitat for Humanity is my fall back. Brad Pitt's group - called "Make it Right 9" has not returned my emails. I'll let you know what we find.

ReplyDeleteI have the address of where we lived when I was born. It is an area that was hard hit. I haven't put enough internet searching in. I figure in January I'll really get in gear, that is why it's great to get ideas before!
