yikes. i actually haven't left the house, so i really don't know what it feels like outside. erika is driving seby & zane to school and cody & graham take the bus.
cody really didn't want to bring his ski gear, thinking his race today will get cancelled. but it hasn't been, yet. it was cancelled on tuesday due to cold (with warmer temps) - but who knows how quickly it might warm up today. Ops, I just checked and now it is -21. not a good sign.
yesterday i drove the suburban and it was odd how freezer like it felt when i started it. there are really strange noises when you start a car in this kind of cold - especially if the vent fans are left on high. the leather seats felt really weird, and there was a slight frost to the dashboard. i'm glad i recently heard CAR TALK and was reminded that a car doesn't need to be warmed up more than a minute or two in this kind of cold. i need it warmed up a bit more.
but i do love being in the snow. i feel like i live somewhere else though with the amount of snow we have had on the ground. we have had snow ever since the first day - the sunday after Thanksgiving. We flew home from California to a new blanket of snow. I remember looking out the window and being amazed at how fresh it looked. 6am on a Sunday and it was so untouched.
I grew colder and colder as I read your blog and looked at the pictures!

With global warming (which I believe is happening) wouldn't the polar bears up in the arctic love some of what you all are experiencing!
